The story of Kanavi
Kanavi has made his name known tho whole world despite drama around Griffin and his contract.
One thing we can be happy about as North American League fans is that our league is actually the most normal one right now. G2 and Fnatic are struggling in the LEC, the LCK has seen T1 get absolutely stomped by teams they beat in the Spring Playoffs, and the LPL has 2 teams that haven’t been in the top 3 ever with Team WE making an appearance tied with Invictus Gaming and Victory 5 for 2nd at the moment. Sure we have 5 teams sitting at 4-2 but we atleast still have our top dog in C9 smashing the competition! If you are new to the LCS make sure to check out our Tournament page here! A couple of the teams tied at 4-2 face off this week but the most notable has to be the “El Classico” of TSM vs CLG taking place on Sunday. CLG have really picked it up since Spring and already have 1 more win than they got all of last split. It will be a fun match to watch now that both teams appear to be on even footing even though TSM should come out on top. This week's Bet of the Week is an interesting one, the Operators can’t seem to agree on where FlyQuest stands in the game right now. Betway have FLY vs EG listed at 2.20 for FlyQuest and 1.60 for Evil Geniuses while other Operators list this match as 2.17 or 2.21 for FLY. In their match against TL however the odds are listed as 2.05 for FLY and 1.70 for TL on Betway and Loot.Bet has 2.17 for FLY in this match as well. The main takeaway for this week is to do your research on which betting Operators you prefer as honestly, both matches should be a lot closer than they’re getting credit for. Our bet however is going to be betting behind FlyQuest against Evil Geniuses with Vulkan who currently have those odds at 2.21 for FLY and 1.60 for EG, the best bang for your buck coin flip I’ve ever seen. Make sure to check out all of our Operator Reviews here for a better idea of who to bet with as the odds for all FlyQuest’s matches this week are pretty favorable. 100T benched Meteos after Summer week 3 again, and this time Stunt joins him on the bench. I don’t think this is the right move and since they’ve performed so poorly thus far it’s time to give up on the 2nd place power rankings and bet behind Golden Guardians. This game should still be fairly close but as far as performance is concerned, GG should have a handle on this match. This is going to be a true test of power for CLG who actually had a really great game against C9 towards the end of Spring Split and have seemingly mended some of the issues that plagued them. The odds are certainly against them but maybe a little bit more than they should be. Either way C9 should come out on top in this one without too many problems. While GG have found themselves in the favorite’s seat this week that status changes immediately when faced against a top team like TSM should be. TSM are still struggling a little bit but we certainly have a lot more faith in Spica since his rookie split and the team as a whole have been looking really good compared to even Spring to be honest. Even though 100T are playing terribly, unless they are completely demoralized and have no hope for the rest of their split they should honestly still be able to pick off the likes of DIG who while aren’t looking their worst, certainly aren’t looking their best with their huge throw last week. Our Bet of the Week sees a favored EG take on a slept on FlyQuest squad that very well could surprise us here with an upset. Overall EG should win on paper but Solo is still miles ahead of Kumo and honestly, that could be all they need to secure the victory here. FLY are a good team and its time to stop acting like they aren’t. IMT actually found a win with their academy roster, no surprise there considering the likes of Hakuho and Xmithie were there. That being said TL has been on a great run so far and another bottom tier team should fall to the invigorated 4 time champion team that still has 4 of those 4 time champions on it. I think DIG could certainly fall down in the standing a bit this weekend when C9 are finished with them. They really need to get that win over 100T to hold onto a playoff spot I feel like. This will be quite the boring match to watch unless you like to see C9 finish games out in 20 minutes or less This is another match I considered for Bet of the Week as the odds are just a little too skewed against FLY than I think is reasonable. Either way I don't think FlyQuest go 2-0 this week in any world and this has to be the match they lose. Again though, it’s another coin flip of a game, man I love Best of One’s. The good ol’ El Classico of old, this time it even features Doublelift again. TSM should have this one in the bag in all honesty and maybe I'm the only one left trying to keep this rivalry alive but for that purpose only do I hope CLG shows some real strength this Split in this match. Another game that will prove IMT’s win and roster swap was all for naught. By all means some of the players on IMT deserve credit for their skill and experience but against the likes of EG there just isn’t a world where they win and that's reflected everywhere we look. It’s unfortunate that we end the week with a fizzle but maybe we get to see a pentakill in this one come out of Jizuke or Bang. LCS Summer Split Week 4 2020 Preview
