With the LCS going on its 4th week it’s time for another preview page and some predictions. Week 3 was full of upsets and if you missed any of those matches be sure to check out our Week 3 Review page! TL is coming off of a tough week 3 and a scoreline of 2-4, they get Broxah this week so maybe some weak links will be repaired, but then again, Shernfire can’t be blamed for all of Liquids problems. For more information regarding the split make sure to check out our event page here! Maybe I have a personal vendetta against this IMT squad, I don’t think I do but when I look at the sheer power levels of each team, IMT falls short, especially with Broxah in the mix. Xmithie will be looking to trounce his old team but I have a feeling that TL is itching to punch back here. TL can take this one and need to if they are to make an argument for the top spots. This will be a close call, C9 has been pretty dominant so they get a few points, but TSM has been on a huge uptick in power and C9 should lose at some point which gives TSM a few points. Last year there was a trend of C9>TL>TSM>C9 so I have some major predictory contradictions here. At the end of the day if we go buy who should win, C9 has proven better over the previous 3 weeks so I’ll stick with them. Two weeks ago people would have favored CLG coming into this match, but with Crown still underperforming and the GG Bot Lane having solo killed the TL Bot Lane last week, I think GG has an edge in this match. CLG has what it takes but recently they’ve made the argument that they actually don’t. This is another difficult game to call, both teams have some really big question marks around them but if we go by my power rankings, 100T should be able to take this one. 100T has also had an, arguably, more difficult schedule which leads me to believe they are better prepared. Luckily for Johnsun, he’s already proven his worth as a rookie and it’s really up to Huni and Froggen to keep their team at the top of the table. My gut tells me that no matter what the teams faced thus far, DIG is worth more this match. The strengths of Golden Guardians are underwhelming when compared to the strengths of Dignitas. If TL lost to IMT before this point then this is the absolute last loss they can take this year. The reasoning for that is the squad could win their next 12 games and still not get top 2 if C9 and TSM continue on their trajectory. CLG is in a similar boat but their eyes shouldn’t be set on top 2 so they have a little more room to work with. TL should go 2-0 this week or at the very least 1-1 after winning this match. TSM can keep their heads held high at the end of week 4 after they face a dwindling FLY squad. FlyQuest showed up in a big way weeks 1 and 2 but after week 3 there isn’t much more to talk about. They should pick up some more wins as the split goes on but TSM shouldn’t be one of them. Okay here’s one where I think I can finally favor Immortals. IMT, despite my predispositions, have shown up in a bigger better way than EG has. Altec and Xmithie specifically are forces to be reckoned with at the end of the day and unfortunately Svenskeren and Bang should be but just haven’t been. This will be a very deciding match for where the table begins to split, that is if 100T takes the win here. We have our current top 3 teams but if 100T, DIG, or FlyQUest go 2-0 this week then we will have a confirmed 4th at the top. Considering the strength of schedule I think it will be 100T coming out on top here and on the weekend A Tale of Two Cloud9’s. The day is finally here where we get to witness all of Jack’s creations battle it out on the rift. C9 vs TSM may be a bit of a nail biter but the current C9 looks miles better than the old C9, as much as it hurts me to say it, and should come out on top of this one with ease. Currently my predictions are sitting at 13-17 but now that the standings are starting to sort themselves out and the predictions are a little more apparent I expect that number to increase drastically, but I expected that every week so no luck I guess. If you happen to miss any of the matches please make sure to come back next week for our Week 4 Review and Week 5 Preview!
