The story of Kanavi
Kanavi has made his name known tho whole world despite drama around Griffin and his contract.
The LCS Playoffs are off and we’ve already eliminated two teams from playoff contention, and have a first look at our next round of matches. If you missed out on our tournament page make sure to check it out here () and if you are new to the LCS then make sure to check out our Spring Split tournament page! () Not much of a surprise to anybody really,FlyQUest came into the split without too high of expectations but they raised the bar after the first Round Robin as they trailed C9 in second place. FlyQuest utilized their Top Laners to their full potential and were still unable to come away with more than 1 game. As far as playoff series go, this wasn’t much of a series. Following the game the day before, C9 proved yet again that they’re the number 1 team in North America at the moment. 100 Thieves never really showed up for the series until it was too late. On a different day it is very believable that 100T could’ve pressured C9 a bit more, but this time around it wasn’t meant to be. FlyQuest trumped Golden Guardians without really having to flex any muscles, this was as standard as a series could be when one team is favored over the other. GG did well to make it to the playoffs and with a bit more adjustment to their roster they may be serious contenders next time around. FLY got over this hurdle, but it was really close to the ground anyway as there’s not a single team I think GG could’ve even taken to a game 5. The second team to get knocked out of the playoffs was 100 Thieves after a super hard fought series. Cody Sun and Meteos made a real statement taking it to TSM as well as they could have ever done. Luckily for TSM, they drafted for Bjerg more often than not and he pulled through, although Game 5 really was on the back of Broken Blade and Dardoch. If you missed this series you really should go back and watch it in full. Here we will see the true strength of Cloud9 as both teams share a core group of 3 players from C9 last split. The story here is whether or not Svenskeren and Zeyzal can stick it to their old pals and prove they were what made Cloud9 work. I can see this series going to 5 games but the most realistic Finals Preview will more than likely go 3-1 in favor of C9. Another good storyline is the one between FlyQuest and TSM, who were both fighting so hard to maintain their number 2 seed tie that they both lost it in the last week of the split. I need to stick to my guns on this one and say that overall, TSM is the better team with the better roster. Although FLY have shown to be a dangerous squad and this could go 3-2 in their favor on a good day. The loser of C9 vs EG has to play one more Bo5 between the winner of TSM vs FLYbefore entering the finals, but the most important part of the C9 vs EG match is that the winner seeds directly into the finals! That match takes place on Saturday and isn’t one you want to miss as far as storylines are concerned. LCS Spring 2020 Playoffs Week 1
