Week three of the LCS looks a little more solid in terms of competitive matches now that we know the relative strength of the teams. Of course, some teams are still not at full power but they will continue to have their chances as it is still early in the season. If you missed Week 2 make sure to check out our review and for more information on the tournament make sure to check out our event page here. Unfortunately we start off our week with a real sleeper of a match. Both teams are coming into this one needing a win as neither team has had that much success. Sorry CLG, but it seems like you’ll be 0/5 after this one. EG has the better players role by role and even though they aren’t really shining themselves, this is just the match to start gaining some momentum coming into the middle of the split. A win for either of these teams will go a long way at this stage. If we finally see Broxah in NA then things may look a little down for 100T but even so, not enough practice time with the EU Jungler might still give advantage to 100T. If 100T look at their loss last week and really want to get ahead of TL while they can, it has to be here. TL on the other hand lost to DIG in a relatively long game and while they burned down the FlyQuest forest, I’m not sure they can take down 100T. TSM comes off of a 2-0 week while DIG comes off a 1-1 week. Neither have really had that much trouble thus far and their losses come from teams they could have beaten any other day. TSM comes in looking to be in better form overall but if DIG can keep Huni from tilting and take Grig off Lee Sin they might be able to walk away with a win. All that in mind I can hear the, “TSM! TSM! TSM!” chants slowly coming back and expect them to make a statement by winning against DIG. C9 wins this one. While I am not yet ready to say that C9 should be the favorite for the whole split, I certainly am not ready to believe that FLY has the power to stop C9 from having an undefeated season. The raw manpower just isn’t there for Flyquest, and it is for C9. Ultimately, I’m ready to believe 100T goes 2-0 this week and that IMT is an overhyped roster with too high of expectations to be realistic. Last week we saw some real strengths and weaknesses come out of IMT that are all around just worse than the strengths and weaknesses 100T have. IMT would prove a lot of people wrong here if they win but that isn’t very likely. If GG were 2-2 instead of 1-3, I might have predicted an upset here. TSM are just a little more organized and have better options when it comes to who they can play through. Until that GG Bot lane is able to back up the rest of the team nobody should be backing Golden Guardians. Before Monday people were getting hyped up for the DIG vs C9 match in week 3, the two undefeated teams facing off to decide sole possession of first place. Now we just kinda hope the DIG that played on Monday doesn’t show up so we can watch another solid match of League of Legends. C9 should take this one and I’ll even call it before 30 minutes. When it comes to sheer manpower on either team I would normally go with EG. I also feel a bit of despair when i say it but EG needs to get a few wins under their belt in order to make a name for themselves this split and they have every tool to do so, but FLY are riding high and even a loss to C9 shouldn’t hurt them enough to ruin their go green initiative. Another team that may play against a Broxahless Team Liquid, that just might not have what it takes to kick em while they’re down. Can’t say it enough times we want to see GG do well, we want to see them win games, but we don’t have the faith in them. TL shouldn’t have a problem here no matter the circumstance. I might be inting my predictions here but I have a gut feeling that CLG are going to come into this one with a fire. There is a lot of potential on the roster that just hasn’t been used yet and relatively speaking, Immortals aren’t all that immortal. CLG have what it takes to win here but if they don’t then there’s really only one other place they may find it.
