The story of Kanavi
Kanavi has made his name known tho whole world despite drama around Griffin and his contract.
We are now into the second Round Robin and playoff spots are the main goal for each team. Cloud9 still has a comfortable 3 game lead over second place but that could change if FlyQuest rises to the occasion this week. CLG looked better with Pobelter on their team but they still have a mountain to climb to reach playoffs and even then, we’ve seen 9-9 teams not make playoffs in the past. If you missed anything from last week make sure to check out our Week 5 Review () and if you’re new to the LCS make sure to check out our event page here! () Cloud9 has proven their domination, and with the rest of the league so close to each other in the standings, anyone who can stop C9 from getting their perfect season will surely solidify their playoff spot. FlyQuest can probably do that without beating Cloud9 though which is lucky for them, as beating the number one team doesn’t look likely even for the second place team. This could be a great game to watch as FLY could make an argument for themselves and prove they are a top team once and for all by winning here, and Cloud9 can just look to boost their stats in this game realistically. Broxah and Team Liquid have a lot of ground to make up and until they make up it’s going to be hard to back them. TSM have been looking consistent to say the least and while this may prove a bit more difficult than last time around, They should still come out on top in this one statistically. Even though TL beat TSM when Shernfire was on the roster my gut says TSM may be just out of the reach of TL as far as growth as a squad is shown. A win for the TL squad here though will go far in terms of being able to believe in the squad again. A lot of people attribute each team’s record to luck so far and while each has strengths and weaknesses abound, GG has just a few too many weaknesses to get behind in this match. I still have this deep seated distaste for saying IMT win, but this game should go their way even if they int in the first 3 minutes of the game. This week is full of close looking games and this one is no less close. 100T has been underperforming and EG hasn’t been finding much success either. Both teams sit at 4-6 and a loss here for either team may prove to be unrecoverable. 100 Thieves have a slight edge if Meteos and Ssumday can perform, as Kumo and Svenskeren have also been lacking lately. Cody Sun is a much better insurance policy than Bang however and Jizuke hasn’t really sparked any interest in the mid lane. A bare bones look says that 100T should come out on top. If Liquid fails to find a win against TSM then it is safe to assume they find one here, there’s no way Steve allows another 0-2 week and falling to 100T may set Team Liquid back another week of games. They have the manpower to win and should win here, but we’ve said that before haven’t we? 100T won last time around but have declined since then and that may be all TL needs to come out on top in this one. These two teams once sat just behind C9 on the table and now it is just FLY up there in second place. This is the year of Santorin and quite frankly Grig won't be able to challenge him and whichever Jungler is ahead tends to get the rest of their team ahead. FLY win this one pretty comfortably. It’s hard to say that CLG is anything but a free win at this point. TSM should go 2-0 this week or at the very least 1-1 because of this match. Even if the squad implodes on itself they should still be able to scrape by and that's just unfortunate for CLG. We can keep betting on C9 to win, but we have to keep betting on CLG to lose too. This is another game that could set up either team to miss playoffs this Spring. At the end of the day though both teams are just so weak that do either of them really deserve to go? I have EG’s back in this one, Golden Guardians got their wins and we are all happy for that but EG just has the better squad. Check off an easy week for IMT, they should go 2-0 with the opponents they are facing and that will give them a 2-0 record against both saving them at the very least from tie breaking with them. I’m ready to count CLG out of the playoff talks but Immortals could easily slip in with a 5th place finish. After C9 fight FLY they face a much easier opponent in DIG. It is quite the dessert leading to a 2-0 week and a 12-0 record, there are really only going to be challenged by FlyQuest, TSM, and a peak Team Liquid at the most and there’s nothing on the DIG squad that remotely resembles the caliber of players on those teams. Pobelter could still spell the difference in the CLG games as Crown really was the weakest link on the squad previously. CLG even looked decent in their game against C9 last week so they may just be a worthwhile bet when it comes to under dog stories. I won't be betting for them by any means and I honestly only see them winning against the likes of Evil Geniuses, Golden Guardians and maybe, 100T. On top of that, TL’s marathon may begin this week whether they go 2-0 or 1-1. Make sure to check back here for updates on games you may have missed or a preview into week 7.
