The seventh week of #HomeSweetHome is nearing its end as only four teams remain and the winner is to be decided tonight!. With that said it’s time for us to have a look at how the two semifinals are shaping up and how a possible grand final might play out. Endpoint, forZe, c0ntact Gaming and Complexity are the teams that will battle it out, as one of the main favourites, OG, fell short yesterday.. $40,000 is up for grabs just like all the previous and upcoming weeks. Endpoint has been one of the success stories of #HomeSweetHome for a long time as they have reached the playoffs all five previous showings. However they have only reached the semifinals one times and now they have a great chance to reach even further than that. As we are reaching the end of the eight weeks of competition it would truly crown their run. This week it has once again been Thomas “Thomas” Utting and Joey “CRUC1AL” Steusel who has lead their team to success and it was a good sign for the rteam to beat Budapest Five in the quarterfinal after a thriller. In the past the team has fallen short in the deciding moments, but this time they held their nerves together. Their opponent in this semifinal, forZe, are no strangers to #HomeSweetHome, but they are looking to improve their track record as it has been shaky to say the least, especially considering the team has been seen as a favourite to win at all during some weeks. Double wins against Copenhagen Flames and a decisive win in their quarter against SMASH Esports is the result this far this week. This week has mainly been a show from Andrey “Jerry” Mekhryakhov and Bogdan “xsepower” Chernikov, who carried their team to this point. With that said forZe has a big backup in that Evgeny “FL1T” Lebedev is the guy to usually stand for the heroics and if he can get going in this matchup Endpoint is in some real trouble. This semifinal is in our eyes truly a close one, but for most people's money forZe arrives as the favourite. We, however, will go against the grain and we trust Endpoints remarkable improvements to pay off and they will finally go all the way to a final. c0ntact might have had a disappointing start in #HomeSweetHome as they missed out on the playoff on the previous week, but they have made up for that, and more. Their win against OG yesterday was one of the biggest upsets we have seen in the tournament altogether and making it 2-0 makes it even more astonishing. We earlier warned for Otto “ottoNd” Sihvo and Rokas “EspiranTo” Milasauskas as the two players to do it for c0ntact and they proved that point massively yesterday, as both ended the series just shy of 50 frags each. The gods have not been generous to c0ntact however, as they will have to face the other massive favourite, straight after sending one of them packing. Complexity is a three time #HomeSweetHome champion, remarkably enough in three showings. As is tradition they lost their opening game once more this week, just to secure a playoff spot without any bigger issues. Yesterday they won their quarter against Gambit Youngsters after a close series, but once again the individual prowess of Benjamin “blameF” Bremer and Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke was shining bright. With Valentin “poizon” Vasilev starting to show up more and more, just like in that series, the team looks stronger than ever. As much as we like the idea of c0ntact being the juggernaut reaper, it sure looks tough as Complexity is not only the best, but most reliable team in #HomeSweetHome. We can’t doubt the Danish duo of k0nfig and blameF to get this done, and Complexity are set to win their fourth week of #HomeSweetHome!
