ESL Pro League returns once again with an amazing field of teams, even if it has been split up to several online tournaments due to the COVID-19 situation in the world. The North American side of the tournament consists of the best the region has to offer, with Team Liquid, Evil Geniuses and FURIA being the clear top trio. $225,000 is up for grabs and further down this page we will have a look at the odds offered for the winner of the tournament. It is also extra spicy looking at the past results from ESL One Cologne, where EG won it all by defeating their rivals Liquid in a close grand final. The tournament can be viewed on ESL’s official Twitch channel, as well as on their own website. If you are new to watching CS:GO we recommend you to have a look at our viewer guide, which will help you get going. ESL Pro League is one of the highlights for CS:GO every time it rolls around. As such betting is highly available for the tournament as most operators offer all the games. We will have a look at the outright markets offered by Betway, who stands out since most don’t offer these kinds of odds right now. It is quite clear that EG, Liquid and FURIA is the top trio entering the tournament, and while all of these teams have good chances to go all the way, we have a clear choice here. Liquid and FURIA have both gone through tough times, but made quite the comeback as of late. Especially Liquid with their new addition of Michael “Grim” Wince has impressed and they even managed to put EG to the test in ESL One Cologne. We still believe EG are the massive favourite to win once again, and looking at the odds they also make the most sense. As the newly crowned ESL One Cologne champions EG has cemented their position as the kings of North America. Their 3rd placing on the world rankings also tells a story of a strong consistent team, which is to say the least about this team right now. Lead by the superstars Vincent “Brehze” Cayonte and Tsvetelin “CeRq” Dimitrov makes EG a threat against any team in the world, but it is still the whole package and stability that symbolizes this team. 3.35 is not much for a team winning an 8 team tournament, but looking at the situation here makes it quite reasonable in our opinion. It is extremely unlikely that any team besides Liquid or FURIA can challenge the machine that is EG, and as such anything above three times the money sounds good to us. As we have seen in ESL One Cologne it is unlikely any of the remaining teams can challenge the top trio. 100 Thieves and Gen.G don’t look like the teams they have once been and both are more or less out of the competition here. Cloud9 and Triumph are barely a threat at all, even if they do manage the occasional upset here or there. The only team we feel could be a decent bet here is surprisingly Chaos, who have gotten better month by month during this year. In ESL One Cologne they managed to beat FURIA and 100 Thieves, but eventually get knocked out after facing Liquid in a fairly one sided match. 8 times the money is honestly not enough for us to feel good about recommending the bet, but if there’s one team outside of the top three who sometimes manages to pull out a miracle game, it seems to be Chaos. ESL Pro League: North America is shaping up to be an entertaining tournament as the kings of NA, Evil Geniuses, will have the pressure on them to continue their dominance. Both FURIA and Liquid might have what it takes and if anyone else is to be involved we will have to see a miracle run of epic proportions.
