ESL Open Cups: Event and Weekly Results

The ESL Pro Circuit was announced for SC2 earlier this month and along with the six tournaments we were told about the Regional ESL Open Cups happening on a weekly basis, every Sunday. As of yet there hasn’t been an official stream to watch the games but we have access to updates and a schedule available here (https://play.eslgaming.com/starcraft/global/sc2/open/1on1-series). With that in mind we have the first three weeks finished so let's dive into the way they work and the winners!

ESL Open Cup Format

• All matches are Best of Three
• Finals are Best of 5
• Tournaments are held online per region

Prize Pool

• $100 winner takes all
• 1st place gets 10 ESL Pro Tour Points
• 2nd place gets 5 ESL Pro Tour Points

ESL Open Cup Requirements

• Each weekly is an Open Style tournament which means anyone in compliance with the EPT rulebook and guidelines is able to participate.
• Players must have their game account associated with their ESL Play Profile
• Must be 16 years or older in order to be eligible for EPT Points
• Must not be currently banned by Blizzard

Coming out of the 16th week of these Open Cup tournaments, this page would have gotten too large to comprehend! Moving forward we will be listing those who have won the most Open Cups per Region so you’ll know who to look out for in the next big event!
