Owl Summer Showdown 2020 Asia
The OWL is taking this weekend to have two tournaments instead of the regular season. Esports Vikings have created this Tournament page to ...
This upcoming weekend we get a break from the typical OWL style of 30 different games and break it down into two different tournaments, Asia and North America. In this Tournament page we will be going over North America’s tournament! If you are new to the OWL make sure to check out our viewer guide here. A lot of the betting Operators don’t list the tournaments explicitly but any Operator that does offer OWL this weekend is offering the Summer Showdown matches. For North America it is best to bet behind the likes of San Francisco Shock or Atlanta Reign, make sure to read below to find out why! As the tournament is going on remotely there is no way to watch in person but that’s okay, between YouTube and the Blizzard Launcher it will be widely available to stream to your home! San Francisco Shock The shock may have lost one of the best Overwatch Talents to the likes of Valorant but that hasn’t stopped them from dominating the scene as a whole. They have their Quarterfinal bye and their half of the bracket is just a tad easier than the likes of Atlanta Reign, their path to the Finals is pretty clear cut. Atlanta Reign They have a bit more of a challenge in trying to get to the Finals but they have been able to get a good run of form since the initial weeks they played games in the league. They most likely Final will be the Shock vs Reign but Atlanta will need a bit more help to take first place. Philadelphia Fusion The Fusion have been up and down all season but have managed a Quarterfinals berth for this tournament, they most likely will make Semifinals but even so they could definitely fall to the likes of Florida Mayhem and would barely challenge Atlanta Reign in a tournament setting. The thing about the OWL is that most of the teams are vastly different in skill and power. A majority of the rest of the teams in the tournament simply shouldn’t be able to challenge for the Finals but even so, Vancouver got a bye so let’s talk about their chances. Vancouver Titans The 4th team to get a bye are the Titans and this comes as a huge surprise, Paris, Florida, and Valiant all could have found themselves in this position but due to performance slumps as of late the Titans were able to take over. They should be able to make top cut but will certainly fall short of a Finals berth with the Shock in their way. OWL Summer Showdown 2020 NA
