The Dota Summit is an annual tournament featuring 1 team from each region who made it through the Regional Qualifiers in their regions. It takes place November 7th through November 10th in Los Angeles and boasts a $300,000 prize pool and 660 Pro Circuit Points. It uses a GSL Group Stage Double Elimination Playoff format. Some call it a Major tournament but Valve recognizes it as a Minor. There are 8 teams participating in the tournament, at least one from each main region in Dota 2. While they all had to qualify via a Regional Qualifier, not all should be considered the best of the best from their region but they all deserve to be at this tournament for their efforts. The teams participating this year include; CIS: Jfshfh178 (Virtus.pro withdrew from the tournament) HellRaisers EU: Ninjas in Pyjamas Ad Finem NA: Quincy Crew SA: paiN Gaming SEA: Geek Fam CN: Invictus Gaming While not all are the biggest names in Dota, they are all contenders with 178 being a clear underdog story. Make sure to come cheer on your favorite region and watch some Dota 2 pro play, a great mix of popularity and skill are all here so we are in for a treat. Especially as we begin to wind down for the year this is an event to watch. Make sure to come back to Esports Vikings for updates and future coverage of other Dota events as well. 2019 Dota Summit 11 Preview
